Ingredients
  • 5 – 6 slices of halloumi
  • 1 orange, cubed
  • 2 dried figs, cut in small pieces
  • 2 dried prunes, cut in small pieces
  • 2 shots of orange liqueur
  • 1 spoonful of roasted almonds
  • 1 spoonful of thyme honey

Directions
  1. Marinate the dried fruit with the liqueur for as many hours you can or at least for three hours.
  2. Peel and slice the orange as well as the dried fruit.
  3. Heat a non stick frying pan and cut the halloumi in small cubes and roast on all sides.
  4. Remove to a platter and put the liqueur in the frying pan just for a few seconds so that the alcohol will evaporate.
  5. Place all fruit in a bowl and pour the syrup over it, add the honey and mix.
  6. Pound the almonds with a pestle and mortar, roast in the oven or in a frying pan and set aside.
  7. When you are ready to serve, mix in the halloumi and the almonds.
  8. The taste of the sweet fruit with the salty halloumi is perfect.
