Chai Oatmeal

- 1 1/2 cup skim milk shopping list
- 1/4 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground coriander shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground cardamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric shopping list
- drop of vanilla shopping list
- 2 tsp honey shopping list
- 3/4 cup rolled oats shopping list
- 2 tbsp plain yogurt or buttermilk (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Pour milk into saucepan. Add salt, cinnamon, coriander, cardamom, and turmeric. Whisk to blend. Place pan over medium heat.
- Just before milk comes to a boil, lower heat and let mixture simmer for about 5 minutes.
- Stir in vanilla and honey and whisk until honey dissolves.
- Sprinkle in oats and stir once or twice. Cover pan and leave over low heat for about 8 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- When oatmeal has thickened to your liking, serve hot with yogurt or buttermilk
