Something to do with that day old bread. Tasty treat that will keep crisp for a long time in an airtight container.

Ingredients
  • 1/3 Cup peanut butter
  • 1/3 Cup cooking oil
  • pinch of salt
  • 8 slices of bread

Directions
  1. Trim bread and save crusts.
  2. Cut into strips 1/2 x 1/4.
  3. Place bread strips and crust in oven.
  4. Bake at 200 degrees F. for 1 hour.
  5. Dip toasted strips in peanut butter, oil and salt mixture. Then in finely crushed bread crumbs made from the toasted crusts.
  6. Store in airtight container and they will keep crisp forever.
