Absinthe Recipe

Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix with dry ingriedents (wormwood, hyssop, calamus, and mint)
  • pour into airtight container.
  • Mix with a bottle of everclear, allow mix to steep for two weeks
  • strain the liquid through thin cloth
  • add 1/2 dropper full of wormwood essential oil
  • 1/3-2/3 to taste- anise extract
  • 1 tsp mint extract
  • 2-10 shots ouzo
  • Fill a glass with Ice
  • pour 1 shot of absinthe in the glass
  • set 2 sugar cubes on a slotted spoon over the glass
  • Slowley pour cold water over the cubes to disolve the sugar

    they actually have wormwood knock offs, im not sure what its called but i guess if its not real wormwood its not real absinthe so its not really illegal is it mwahhahaha! i make a good point!

    Here is a thing to remember, Absinthe is illegal in the states. I think most of Europe as well.

    It also tastes terrible!

    Thanks for posting this though ;) I bet the other spices might help it taste a wee bit better.
