Hungarian Cabbage And Noodles Recipe

Ingredients

1 large head of cabbage

1 1/2 sticks butter

cooked egg noodles

Directions

Chop cabbage into pieces (not too small)

Add butter to skillet and fry over medium heat until cabbage breaks down and turns brown,approx 45-50 minutes.

Mix with cooked egg noodles.

This is a GREAT old Hungarian recipe which I learned from my second husband's mother. Cut the cabbage very fine-it takes a long time to fry brown so allow for this and use very fine egg noodles or rice noodles for lighter taste and a lot of black ground pepper-enjoy
