Ingredients
  • 1 pound unsalted butter
  • 2 cups dark brown sugar
  • 1-1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 5 cups flour
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1-1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 bags milk chocolate chips

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla together and beat well.
  3. Add eggs and mix until eggs are well blended.
  4. Add flour, baking soda and salt.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips.
  6. Place cookie dough on cookie sheet and bake for 8 minutes.

Alterations


If you mix the baking soda with 2 teaspoons of hot water, it will help make the cookies a bit more decedent because it increases the amount of carbon dioxide that's released into the dough when baking. :-)
