Ingredients
  • 4 Bias Cut Salmon Filets (2 lbs total)
  • 1oz Canola Oil
  • 1oz Soy Sauce
  • 8oz Teriyaki Glaze (posted below)
  • 16oz Garlic olive oil sauce
  • 4oz Diced Red Bell Peppers
  • 24oz Orzo Pasta, precooked
  • 8oz Spinach, julienned
  • TERIYAKI GLAZE:
  • 2 cups Soy sauce
  • ¾ cups Italian dressing
  • 4 cups Honey
  • ¾ cups Lemon Juice
  • 2 TBSP Red Pepper, crushed
  • 1/8 cup Cayenne Pepper

Directions
  1. Dip salmon in soy sauce then the oil.
  2. Place the salmon on hot grill silver side up.
  3. Grill salmon evenly until done, approximately 6-7 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 145 F.
  4. Slowly ladle the teriyaki glaze over the salmon while still on the grill.
  5. In a hot sauté pan, add olive oil garlic mix, red bell peppers and orzo.
  6. At home, an ounce or two of chicken stock will help the orzo during this step.
  7. Sauté for approximately one minute until orzo is almost dry, stirring to prevent sticking.
  8. Remove pan from heat and add spinach.
  9. Toss for approximately three seconds until spinach is incorporated but is not wilted.
  10. Place spinach and orzo on a plate, then add salmon and additional honey teriyaki glaze if needed.
  11. TERIYAKI GLAZE
  12. Mix all ingredients together by hand wisk. Sauce will remain for 48 hours so it needs to be prepared fresh or the day before.

This sounds wonderful! It has some of my absolute favorites in it, Salmon, Spinach and Pasta. Can't top that combo in my book.

Oh my! These DO sound good! Jett

This is my DH's favorite dish at Macaroni Grill! Thank you for posting this! I have orzo and spinach in my larder as I speak/type...

The glaze recipe must be for a whole restaurant's worth of the salmon. I made 1/3 of it and still had way too much. but that's OK, it keeps a couple of days. I must say, the cayenne was really potent; i could hardly taste the salmon! if I do this again I'll leave out the cayenne so I can appreciate all those other ingredients.
