Jam Cake

- 1 1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 3 eggs, slightly beaten shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1 teaspoon ground cloves shopping list
- 1 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- 1 cup butter shopping list
- 3 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon flour shopping list
- 1 cup of any kind of jam shopping list
- Icing: shopping list
- i cup coconut shopping list
- 1 cup raisins shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 cup chopped nuts shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
How to make it
- Cream together butter and sugar
- Add eggs then milk and jam
- Fold in allspice, cloves, soda, and flour
- Beat for a couple minutes until mixed good
- Then put in greased cake pan (9x13)
- Cook 325 degrees for 45 to 60 minutes
- This cake can also be made in 3 layers like in the old days
- Icing:
- This icing is like an icing for a German Chocolate Cake except with raisins...
- Cook milk and sugar until creamy and smooth in a saucepan.
- Add raisins and chopped nuts last... cook for about one or two minutes
