How to make it

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl, add 1 cup boiling water, stir well.
  • Fold in 1 1/2 cups SR flour. Mix well.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes in moderate oven either in well-greased roll tins or bundt pan.
  • Serve warm, sliced and topped with butter or cream.
  • Note: If you freeze for later use, let thaw completely before serving, about 1 hour.
