Ingredients

How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
  • Cream together butter, oil, and sugar, until fluffy
  • Add brown sugar, mix well
  • Add eggs and vanilla, beat well
  • Scrape sides of bowl
  • Add flour, baking soda, cinnamon, and salt, combine well
  • Add oats and chocolate chips (or raisins) and mix until combined
  • Add nuts, if using
  • Using a small or medium cookie dough scoop, place rounded cookies on an ungreased cookie sheet and bake for about 6 or 7 minutes
  • Make them about 1 inch balls if not using a cookie scoop
  • (don't over bake...the middle should still be nice and gooey when the cookies are hot)
  • When they are slightly golden around the edges, remove from oven
  • Cool 1 minute and place the cookies on a wire rack to finish cooling
  • Store in an airtight container when cooled
  • Makes about 8 dozen

my mother and i baked your cookies...but they came out lighter than expected. cooked for 14 minutes instead of 7 just because everytime we tested them the middle seemed to still be raw. and they were also crunchy on the outside. is it maybe because we cooked them too long?
