Jerk Shrimp with Melon Salsa

- Jerky shrimp shopping list
- 15 - 20 large uncooked shrimp, peeled, deveined, and tails removed shopping list
- 2 TBS olive oil shopping list
- 1 Onion, finely chopped shopping list
- ½ cup scallion, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced shopping list
- 2 teaspoon ground thyme shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 teaspoon sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon allspice shopping list
- ½ teaspoon ground nutmeg shopping list
- 1 hot pepper, finely ground shopping list
- 1 teaspoon black pepper shopping list
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil shopping list
- melon salsa shopping list
- 1 cup cantaloupe, finely diced shopping list
- 1 cup honeydew, finely diced shopping list
- 1 cup fresh cilantro, chopped shopping list
- 1/2 cup red onions, finely diced shopping list
- 1 medium lime shopping list
- 1 tablespoon white vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl, combine shrimp and all ingredients for Jerky Shrimp
- Cover, place in refrigerator, to marinate for 30 mins.
- In the meantime, combine cantaloupe, honeydew, red onion, and cilantro in a bowl. Squeeze the lime juice over the top and mix well.
- Once the shrimp are marinated, heat oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook 3 – 5 mins until opaque in the center. Serve with melon salsa.
