Yummy meatballs in an onion gravy. Goes so good over noodles. My mom's recipe from the 1950's.

Ingredients
  • 2 Lbs ground round or ground sirloin
  • 1 1/2 cup Old Fashoined Oatmeal
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 tsp Thyme
  • 1/2 tsp Marjoram
  • 1 tsp salt and pepper to taste
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Vegtable oil (for browning meatballs)
  • 2 pkg of onion soup mix
  • 2 cups really hot water

Directions
  1. Mix together meat, eggs, oatmeal, Thyme, Marjoram, salt, pepper and milk.
  2. Roll into desired size meatball. ( 1 " small is best)
  3. Roll meatball in flour
  4. Brown meatballs in veg oil, remove from pan.
  5. Drain grease
  6. Return meatballs to pan or dutch oven
  7. Mix 2 cups hot water with 2 pkg of onion soup mix
  8. Pour over meat balls
  9. Cover.
  10. Simmer over low heat for 1/2 hour to 45 Min
  11. Serve over noodles
