Quick Shrimp Scampi Recipe

Quick Shrimp Scampi Recipe
I'll be adding some of my own college concoctions. I recently made this dish a few times, and keep adding small things that make it taste better. The cost of this dish is around $6-7.

Ingredients
  • 1 lb of large shrimp (unshelled, de-veined)
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1-2 bunches of green onions
  • salt/pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Melt butter with garlic in a skillet over medium-high heat
  2. Add shrimp, paprika, chili powder, and salt/pepper.
  3. Cook for 3-5 minutes, adding green onions a minute before the shrimp is done.
  4. Serve over rice.
  5. *note* you can add more/less butter, chili powder, garlic depending on your tastes. I usually add more garlic/chili powder to get even more flavor.

Forgot to mention that the only things that are really necessary are the garlic/butter, so if you're really feeling lazy or if you don't have paprika/chili powder lying around, just do the same without them and they'll still taste pretty good.

A Walmart around me sells bags of "extra large" unshelled shrimp for $5, so it's a pretty good dish for its price/time.

Garlic and Butter?? I'm there. This sounds great. I will be making. Thanks for posting!

Yummy! daddy will love this one - jett
