How to make it

  • Slice cucumbers, onions and peppers.
  • Dissolve salt in ice water.
  • Pour over vegetable and let stand for three hours.
  • Drain.
  • Combine sugar, vinegar, water and spices. Bring up to a boil, but do not boil.
  • Pack the vegetables in the jars.
  • Add brining liquid.
  • Seal and process following canning instructions included with your jars.

    Hi friend, long time no talk. Hope things are well with you. Busy here as always.
    We love bread and butter pickles. I've never made my own, but will have to now. We used to buy the jar kind back in the Midwest, but for some reason they don't have them up here. Can't wait to try this out, thanks for sharing:o)
