Bread and Butter Pickles

- 30 medium sized cucumbers (same diameter) shopping list
- 8 medium sized onions shopping list
- 2 large green peppers shopping list
- 1/2 cup of salt shopping list
- 5 cups of white vinegar shopping list
- 5 cups of white sugar shopping list
- 2 tbsp of mustard seed shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of tumeric shopping list
- 1 teaspoon of whole cloves shopping list
How to make it
- Slice cucumbers, onions and peppers.
- Dissolve salt in ice water.
- Pour over vegetable and let stand for three hours.
- Drain.
- Combine sugar, vinegar, water and spices. Bring up to a boil, but do not boil.
- Pack the vegetables in the jars.
- Add brining liquid.
- Seal and process following canning instructions included with your jars.
