Ingredients
  • 1 bag (11oz ) butterscotch chips
  • 1 bag (12oz) chow mein noodles
  • OR
  • 2 cans (3oz each) La Choi Rice Noodles

Directions
  1. prepeare cookoie sheet by covering with wax paper, set aside.
  2. place butterscotch chips in microwave safe bowl.
  3. microwave on high for 3 minutes on high, stirring every minute (microwave temperatures vary, remember!).
  4. in a large bowl, mix melted mixture with chow mein noodles (don't worry if noodles break).
  5. scoop onto wax paper-covered cookie sheet.
  6. let sit 10 minutes.
  7. eat and enjoy!
  8. optional- you can substitute the butterscotch chips for chocolate and peanut butter chips (50/50). prepare as above, and add 2 diced peanut butter cups, or a snickers bar, or a milky way, or your favorite candy bar.

Yummy! Such a good treat! You can add creamy peanut butter and marshmallows also. You've got my 5!


We've been making haystacks in this house for years. It is still one of my girls favorite things to eat. We usually use a combo of butterscotch and chocolate chips just their preference but this recipe certainly holds up well with a variety of whatever hits your fancy
