Strawberries and Cream Pudding

My grandmother used to make this when I was a child. This recipe is a pleasant memory and an even more pleasant taste.
Ingredients
- 2qts fresh strawberries washed, capped and sliced into a bowl shopping list
- 1/2c. sugar shopping list
- 2c. whipping cream shopping list
- 1/2c sugar shopping list
- 1t. vanilla shopping list
- 1 box vanilla wafers shopping list
How to make it
- Whip cream adding 1/2c. sugar and vanilla
- add 1/2c. sugar to berries mixing till sugar dissolves
- In the bottom of serving bowl place a layer of vanilla wafers
- On top of wafers place 1/3 of the strawberry mixture
- Next add 1/3 of the whipped cream
- Repeat till you have three layers ending with whipped cream
- Crumble a few wafers on top
- Chill for 2 hours before serving
