Ingredients
  • 6 ounces jumbo lump crab meat
  • 1 slice white bread diced with crust removed
  • 1/4 teaspoon shallots finely diced
  • 1/4 teaspoon chive finely diced
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 teaspoon mayonnaise
  • 1/4 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons butter

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 375.
  2. In a bowl whisk one egg then gently fold in all ingredients except butter until well combined.
  3. Shape into patties.
  4. In a hot sauté pan add 2 tablespoons butter then lightly brown crab cakes on both sides.
  5. Remove from sauté pan.
  6. Bake for 8 minutes.

Hey cooking buddy. You say these are cheap, do you have any good places to order seafood. Would love any direction here! All the sites I have seen are so expensive. I am in the midwest and about the only cheap here is catfish or salmon. Oh I guess there's carp if you catch it yourself:)Nasty!
