OK. I made these and they're yummy. I started by cooking the onion, garlic, ginger, lemon grass one minute, then added the soy sauce and sweet & sour sauce and cooked it 5 minutes to reduce it down to a thick syrup, Then I cooled it. Next, I mixed everything into the raw ground beef. I had to add another 1/4 cup crumbs to make it less "mushy". The batch made 7 golf sized balls (probably more that your 6 because of the extra crumbs). Dip dip fry fry and I had 7 great tasting patties. I ate the first one in a small sub bun. Very good. Thanks, Richard.

I know you posted this 11 years ago, and you may not be active here any longer ... but ... I want to make these patties, but there is something I don't understand. It seem you are cooking the hamburger before you make the patties. How can that be? The meat must be raw to hold together. I think you may have goofed when you wrote the cooking instructions.
