Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat oil in a heavy based pan, add finely chopped onion. Fry for 2-3 min until opaque.
  • Add turmeric powder, cumin seeds and garlic paste fry for another minute or so.
  • To this add chopped tomatoes, fry for at least 7-8 minutes. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder, salt and garam masala, stir.
  • Add in ground lamb/goat/ beef and fry for 5 minutes until the meat is brown. Add a cup of water and let simmer for at leat 30 minutes or until the meat is tender. You may have to simmer for longer if you are using ground beef.
  • If there is water left still turn the heat to high and fry until the oil is separated. Fry meat for another 5 minutes.
  • Add cut cauliflower and and stir to cover evenly. Add two green chillies too at this time.
  • Cover and let cook for another 30 minutes on medium-low heat until the cauliflower is thoroughly cooked.
  • Sprinkle with ginger slices, coriander leaves and garam masala and serve with pita or roti.
  • Do not forget to enjoy :)

    My family would love this in pita or naan (I prefer naan). We love hand-held meals as most families do these days and this would be wonderful. I like Mumtaz's comment about adding cubed potatoes and peas. A full meal deal!

    Atariq, sounds really tasty. Saved it for later. I wish I had it cooked already. I have ground lamb in the freezer waiting for a good recipe like this.
