Mamaws Pound Cake

- 1/2 POUND (2 STICKS) butter shopping list
- 3 CUPS sugar shopping list
- 1 CUP sour cream shopping list
- 3 CUPS ALL PURPOSE flour shopping list
- 1/2 TSP. baking soda shopping list
- 6 eggs shopping list
- 1 TSP. vanilla shopping list
- FROSTING: shopping list
- 1 STICK butter shopping list
- 1 PKG. cream cheese shopping list
- 1 BOX CONFECTIONERS sugar shopping list
- 1/2 TSP. almond extract shopping list
- 1/2 TSP. vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- PREHEAT OVEN TO 325 DEGREES
- CREAM BUTTER AND SUGAR TOGETHER
- SIFT FLOUR AND BAKING SODA TOGETHER
- ADD TO CREAMED MIXTURE, ALTERNATELY WITH EGGS, ONE AT A TIME, BEATING AFTER EACH.
- ADD VANILLA
- POUR INTO A GREASED AND FLOURED TUBE PAN AND BAKE FOR 1 HOUR AND 20 MINUTES.. CHECK AN EYE ON IT..
- FROSTING DIRECTIONS:
- MIX ALL INGREDIENTS TOGETHER.
- WAIT FOR THE POUND CAKE TO COOL, THEN TOP WITH A THICK, THICK LAYER OF FROSTING..
- GOOD WITHOUT THE FROSTING HEAVENLY WITH IT..
- THE PICTURE I FOUND LOOKS JUST LIKE THE CAKE WITHOUT THE FROSTING
- CAN ALSO GARNISH THIS HEAVENLY POUND CAKE WITH ICE CREAM, STRAWBERRIES AND POWEDERED SUGAR..
