Chocolate Italian Cookies

This goes with an earlier post of "Plain Italian Cookies". These are just as good! This recipe has been around for many years.
Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup Crisco shortening shopping list
- 4 unbeaten eggs shopping list
- 5 cups all purpose flour(unsifted) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 2 teaspoons baking soda shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cloves shopping list
- 1 cup Hershey's chocolate syrup shopping list
- 1/4 cup cold coffee shopping list
- 1 cup chopped toasted nuts shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
- Cream sugar and shortening,
- Add unbeaten eggs - mix well.
- Add the dry ingredients alternately with the chocolate syrup & coffee.
- Fold in the nuts, mixing well
- Bake for 12 - 15 minutes
- Yield 8 dozen cookies!
