How to make it

  • Cut about 1/2 inch of the top of the garlic, cut the roots so the garlic will sit flat. remove some of the papery skin, but keep enough on so the cloves stay together.put garlic in a smal baking dish, drizzle with olive oil and cover with lid or foil. bake in ove at 325 for about 1 hour. remove garlic from pan and let cool.
  • Combine water, pineapple juice, teriyaki sauce, soy sauce, and brown sugar in a med. sauce pan over med/high heat. stir, when starts to boil, reduce heat and let simmer.
  • squeeze the head of the garlic until the pasty roasted garlic is squeezed out, measure 2 tea. into the pan and whisk to combine. add remaining ingred to the pan and stir.
  • let mixture simmer for 40-50 mins. or until sauce reduces to about 1/2 and is thick... make sure it doesn't boil over....This sauce takes some time, but really, really worth the wait.

Thank you for the burn tip. Theresa this Tgif Bbq Glaze is superb with all the right ingredients to send a smile to my face. I love the heat and the whiskey is a nice touch too. High five
