Ingredients

How to make it

  • I prep this dish by mincing the garlic, zesting the lemon, half the lemon and chop the dill. I put all on a plate along with the salmon and give to the Grillmaster.
  • He places on the grill over low coals and covers with the garlic, lemon zest, squeezes lemon over salmon and finishes with the dill and grills for about 15 minutes or until salmon flakes. He does not turn the salmon.

I was going to post my own simple technique but your husband does pretty much the same as I do! I take an entire salmon fillet, sprinkle it with kosher salt and black pepper, squeeze the juice of a lemon over it and place it skin side down on the grill over medium heat. Cover and cook until it flakes. I also do not turn it. I sometimes brush oil on the skin so it crisps up nicely. The healthy fat is just under the skin.
