How to make it

  • In a medium-size bowl toss the feta cheese with the cornstarch.
  • In a medium size heavy-bottomed saucepan heat the milk and cream cheese over low heat until the cream cheese is almost melted smooth then stir in lemon juice.
  • Add the feta a handful at a time stirring until cheese is melted before adding more.
  • When all the cheese has been added stir in the dill, mint and lemon peel.
  • Transfer fondue to an enamel or ceramic fondue pot and keep warm over a fondue burner.
  • Warm meatballs and dip in fondue sauce then serve immediately.

    The flavours sound fantastic! I'm curious though- I use a lot of feta and find it very hard to melt. Do you recommend a creamy feta for this recipe? I usually buy the very firm & crumbly kind.
