Ingredients

How to make it

  • heat butter or vegetable oil in skillet over medium high heat
  • saute onion and pinch of salt and ground pepper till soft or translucent
  • add cubed kielbossa
  • add chopped apple
  • add caraway seeds
  • add drained sauerkraut
  • heat through stirring occasionally approximately 3 - 4 minutes
  • transfer to casserole or baking dish -heat in 350 over for 20-30 minutes uncovered serve with sour cream if desired

    This would be great on two slices of buttered bread and have for a sauerkraut sandwich.

    Love this, made it myself the other day! Didn't use apple but did add shredded cabbage to the mix. My fiance is Polish and he just gobbled it up. Thanks for the post!

    This reminds me of something one of my grandmother's would make....the aroma of her house was always pleasant! It always smelled of food! Is this a polish dish? I'm part Polish, Italian and Croation - Jett
