How to make it

  • For all Butters:
  • Beat all ingredients in a bowl with electric mixer until thoroughly blended and smooth(may use food processor with steel blade)
  • To Shape into Logs:
  • Place plastic wrap on a cookie sheet
  • Starting 2 inches in from one long side,scrape butter mixture along length of wrap to within 2 inches of narrow ends.
  • Chill just until firm enough to handle
  • Shape tnto a 12 -inch-long log
  • Roll up and twist ends to seal
  • Refrigerate 2 hours until firm or freeze
  • To serve:
  • Cut off as many 1/2 inch thick slices as you need,bring slices to room temperature,then place.
  • Each Butter Log makes about 1&1/4 cups or 24 -1/2 inch thick slices
