Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix finely chopped yellow onion with seasonings (a good amount).
  • Rinse and dry the chicken breasts.
  • Rub the chicken breasts with the onion spice mixture.
  • You can bake immediately, but I recommend that you let the chicken marinate in the onion spice mixture for at least an hour. If we were having guests, my mom would let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. By dinner time it was soooo flavorful, you would believe it.
  • When ready to bake, preheat oven to 450.
  • Line a cookie sheet or shallow baking pan with aluminum foil and lightly grease with cooking spray or butter. Place chicken breasts one inch apart on the foil.
  • Try to get a good tbsp of the onion on top of the chicken.
  • Slice the butter into thin shreds and put on top of onion topped chicken.
  • Let bake in the oven on 450 for about 45mins to an hour.
  • Serve hot with your favorite side.
  • Enjoy!
