hey everyone...i actually work at a chick fil a (unfortunately), and i can tell you basically what they do. We actually don't use pickle juice at all to make them lol. After the chicken has been thawed, we put it in a cold milk and egg wash. After we pull it out, we put it in the coater mix (not sure what exactly is in it, though it does have flour and some sort of seasoning) and do all that fun stuff and coat it, and then fry it in peanut oil at 350 degrees for 3 minutes. Granted that three minutes is for several pounds of nuggets. Hope this helps!

I'm not sure about the recipe as I have not tried it. But, I know for sure you are missing two key ingredients. 1) adding pickle juice to your water mixture. (An employee told me this is what they do at the restaurant) 2) Use Peanut oil to fry. You can definitely taste the difference since that is the oil CFL uses.

I also think the cracker meal in not needed as the employee told me all they use is flour.
