How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  • Grease two 6-cup or one 12-cup muffin pans.
  • Combine flour, baking powder, salt and cayenne in a large bowl; add cheese, and mix well.
  • Make a well in center of mixture.
  • In another bowl, combine egg, milk, and butter; add to dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
  • Spoon into greased muffin pans, filling two-thirds full.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
