Ingredients

How to make it

  • Combine flour, baking soda, salt and spices in a bowl and set aside
  • With an electric mixer cream the butter, sugar and molasses
  • Add the egg and vanilla and mix well
  • Add the flour mixture, mixing well
  • Add nuts and berries mixing until incorporated
  • At this point you may either cover the mixing bowl or wrap the dough in plastic wrap then refrigerate for at least 1/2 hour
  • Remove dough from fridge and make into desired balls. I use different sizes of scoops depending on the size cookie I wish to make, 1-2 ounce.
  • Dip the tops of the cookie into cool water then sugar
  • Place on a lined with parchment paper or one that has been sprayed with pan coating
  • Bake n a pre-heated 350 degree oven for 16 minutes
  • Remove from oven and cool for 5 minutes then transfer to a wire cooling rack
  • These cookies freeze well for months in a zip-loc bag

The dough also freezes well. Somehow the prep time is incorrect and I am working on fixing it. It take approx 15 minutes to prepare and 30 minutes to chill. Hope you try these.....know that you'll enjoy!
