I cut my pies in 6 slices but some do 4 or 8. This is a delicious pie made like a chocolate pie but use orange instead.

Ingredients
  • juice of 2 oranges
  • 2 cups hot water
  • 3 tsp. orange flavoring
  • 4 eggs, separated
  • 4 tablespoons flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 pie crusts, baked
  • ICING....
  • 4egg whites
  • 2 tsp sugar

Directions
  1. In a large saucepan, combine orange juice, water and orange flavoring. Bring to a boil.
  2. Stir egg yolks, sugar and flour together until no dry flour shows.
  3. Add mixture into juice and water mixture and boil until thickened.
  4. Bake 2 pie crusts and pour filling into them. Let cool
  5. ICING....
  6. Beat 4 egg whites until peaks form. Add 2 tsp. of sugar and beat until stiff.
  7. Put icing on pies and brown in 450F.oven for about 5 minutes.
  8. Let cool before serving.
