Strawberry Pie Recipe
Half of the strawberries are arranged in the crust, and the other half are crushed and cookedwith sugar,eater and cornstarch until thick and bubbly. Lovely glaze is poured over the strawberries in the shell. This is from Allrecipes.

  • 1(9"0 piecrust,baked
  • 1 qt. fresh strawberries
  • 1c white sugar
  • 3 Tbs. cornstarch
  • 3/4c water
  • 1/2c heavy whipping cream

Directions
  1. Arrange half of the strawberries in baked pastry shell. Mash remaining berries and combine with sugar in a medium saucepan.
  2. Place saucepan over medium heat and bring to a boil;stirring frequently.
  3. In a small bowl,whisk together cornstarch and water. Gradually stir cornstarch mixture into boiling strawberry mixture. Reduce heat and simmer mixture until thickened,about 10 mins.;stirring constantly. Pour mixture over berries in pastry shell. Chill for several hours before serving . In a small bowl,whip cream until soft peaks form. Serve each slice of pie with a dollop of whipped cream.

Woo Hoo! Another good strawberry recipe that I've never tried right before I go to the Strawberry Festival in Ponchatoula, LA this Saturday. I already gave you a 5! I could just tell how good it will be. Thanks for sharing.
