  • Meatballs Ingredients:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped celery
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped green bell pepper
  • 2/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons dried parsley flakes
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons dill weed
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • Sauce Ingredients:
  • 2 cups Half & Half
  • 1 cup Sour Cream
  • 1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed cream of chicken soup
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • ====================
  • Noodles Ingredients:
  • 1 (16-ounce) package uncooked dried wide egg or dumpling noodles

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 400°F. Combine all meatball ingredients in 3-quart bowl; mix lightly. Shape meat mixture into 16 balls.
  2. Place meatballs in ungreased 13x9-inch baking dish. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from oven. Drain grease and remove drippings from dish. Return meatballs to baking dish.
  3. Combine all sauce ingredients in medium bowl. Pour over meatballs. Continue baking, stirring occasionally, 20 to 25 minutes or until sauce is heated through.
  4. Meanwhile, prepare noodles as directed on package. Drain.
  5. Serve meatballs and sauce over hot cooked noodles.

I made this recipe the other night for my husband and he loved it. He's one of those people who usually adds pepper to most things he eats, but he didn't for this one. He said it was perfect.


At least the third time I have served this dish. Many requests for the recipe. My copy machine is over-heating....
