Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a soup pot over medium-high heat, saute onions and garlic in oil until onion is soft.
  • Add jalapenos, chiles, cumin, oregano, ancho chile powder and salt. Cook 1 minute.
  • Stir in chicken broth, beans and chicken. Bring to boil
  • Reduce heat and simmer, uncovered, for 20-25 minutes or until slightly thickened.
  • Stir in corn and continue heating another 15 minutes.
  • To serve, ladle into bowls and top with a dollop of sour cream and shredded cheddar.
  • NOTE: You can use leftover turkey for this...yum!

    This sounds like a great white chili...I might have to tone down the spiciness some - is the ancho chili powder hot? Never tried that before...and yes, I'm from Texas, but never eat 'hot' stuff...lol...thanks for the great post!
