How to make it

  • Rinse and drain dates then chop and mix with rind and lemon juice then with the sugar and milk.
  • Put tart shells in muffin tin.
  • Fill shells and sprinkle each with a little flour and dot with the butter generously.
  • Bake at 400 for 25 minutes.
  • Serve plain or top with custard, cream or meringue.
