Classic and easy recipe for "Famous Amos" Chocolate Chip cookies, from Gloria Pitzer (recipe detective) She is good. You use a cake mix to start, how easy is that. (no eggs!) Update:

Ingredients
- 18 Oz box yellow cake mix....
- 1/2 Cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 Cup self rising flour
- 1 cup Hellman's mayonaise
- 12 oz bag of quality Mini Chocolate Chips
- Pam for baking sheet
Directions
- As listed, take all the ingredients (except the Chocolate Chips) and beat together to smooth dough.
- Preheat oven to 350.
- Add Chocolate Chips.
- Mix lightly.
- Using a tablespoon , measure dough and level off in bowl and add to sprayed cooking sheet.
- Bake at 15 minutes.. (Watch after 12 minutes, I like undercooked a bit)
- Let stand a few minutes on sheet that cool on wire rack.
- Send family member out for milk.
- Enjoy.
