Sour Cream Coffeecake Laced With Cinnamon And Sugar

Tried and True. Sour cream makes this cake delightfully delicious, while a mixture of cinnamon and sugar laces through the cake. Great coffeecake for breakfast or brunch.
Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter shopping list
- 1-1/2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1 cup sour cream shopping list
- 2 eggs, well beaten shopping list
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon baking powder shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda shopping list
- cinnamon sugar nut MIXTURE shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped nuts (like to hand chop them) shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoons sugar shopping list
- 2-1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon shopping list
How to make it
- CINNAMON SUGAR NUT MIXTURE
- Mix cinnamon, sugar, and nuts in bowl, set aside
- SOUR CREAM CAKE
- In mixer bowl, with mixer, cream butter, sugar, and sour cream
- Add beaten eggs, beat well
- Combine dry ingredients, add to creamed mixture
- Beat well
- In bottom of a well greased tube pan, put a third of cinnamon mixture
- Alternate layers of batter and cinnamon mixture ending with batter
- Bake at 350 degrees for about 40-45 minutes
