Old Time Banana Pudding Recipe
This was my Great Grandmother's recipe and is one of my favorites

Ingredients
  • 3 cups milk
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 5 eggs, separated
  • vanilla (to taste, I used about 1 T)
  • 1 box vanilla wafers
  • 6 bananas
  • 3 T sugar

Directions
  1. Heat milk.
  2. Beat egg yolks then add 1 ½ cups sugar and flour.
  3. Add to heated milk and cook until thick.
  4. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour over bananas and vanilla wafers.
  6. Beat egg whites until stiff with 3 T sugar.
  7. Put on top of pudding and broil until golden brown on top.
  8. Serve warm or cold.
  9. Refrigerate the leftovers (if there are any)

You can not beat this recipe. My grandmother passed it down to me, also.But you have to be very careful not to boil on high heat for it will burn easily. I love it!
