Maple Shortbread Cookies Recipe
When I make these shortbread cookies there gone as soon as they've cooled down! Enjoy!

Ingredients
  • 1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup quick cooking oates
  • 1 cup maple syrup
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions
  1. In a mixing bowl, stir together the flour and sugar; cut in butter until the mixture is crumbly. Press into an 8-inch square baking pan.
  2. Bake at 375° for 15 to 20 minutes.
  3. Combine quick cooking oats, syrup, and salt in a small saucepan.
  4. Cook, stirring frequently, until oats have absorbed most of the syrup, about 5 minutes. Spread over warm crumb crust mixture and return to the oven for 10 minutes longer. Cut into squares while warm. Makes about 16 squares.

They sound great, I love maple syrup!


I've never had a shortbread cookie with oatmeal!! Or maple syrup for that matter -- but they sound delishuss!! And I know I will eat them all!!


I had a maple shortbread cookie today that was to die for. I am inspired to make my own. Love to try your recipe!


These turned out quite tasty. I melted some chocolates and pour on top of the maple layer. The squares soft, chewy and sweet!
