Lemon Chess Pie Recipe
This a good "OLE Southern" classic pie.

Ingredients
  • · 2 C Sugar
  • · 1 T Flour
  • · 1 T Cornmeal
  • · ¼ t Salt
  • · ¼ C Butter, melted
  • · 2 t Grated lemon rind
  • · ¼ C Fresh lemon juice
  • · ¼ C Milk
  • · 4 Eggs
  • · 1 Unbaked 9" pie shell

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Combine sugar, flour, cornmeal and salt. Add the melted butter, lemon rind, lemon juice and milk; mix well.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour into an unbaked 9" pie shell, and bake for 50 minutes.

Bake 50 minutes or until pie is firm in the middle. Times may vary with each oven.
