Ingredients
  • 1 cup packed Brown Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Shortening
  • 1 tsp. Vanilla
  • 1 Egg
  • 1/2 cup Applesauce
  • 2 cups all-purpose Flour
  • 2 cups Granola
  • 1/2 tsp. Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp. Salt

Directions
  1. Heat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Mix brown sugar, shortening, vanilla and egg in a large bowl.
  3. Stir in applesauce.
  4. Stir in remaining ingredients.
  5. Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls about 2-inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 11 to 13 minutes or until almost no indentation remains when touched in the center.
  7. Cool slighlty; remove from cookie sheet.
