How to make it

  • COOK GROUND SIRLOIN, SAUAGE, JALAPENO AND GARLIC IN A LARGE SKILLET OR DUTCH OVEN UNTIL MEAT IS BROWNED.

  • COOK, COVERED OVER LOW HEAT FOR 1 HOUR AND 30 MINUTES, STIRRING OCCASIONALLY.
  • SKIM OFF FAT
  • MIX CORNSTARCH WITH 1/4 CUP WATER, ADD TO CHILI, MIX WELL, ADD BEANS, COVER AND COOK ANOTHER 30 MINUTES OVER LOW HEAT, REMOVE BAY LEAF;
  • AND SERVE WITH TORTILLA CHIPS OR CRACKERS
