How to make it

  • CAKE:
  • Sift first four ingredients together and set aside.
  • Bring margarine, water and peanut butter to a boil and add to flour mixture.
  • In another bowl, combine eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.
  • Add to peanutbutter batter.
  • Pour into a greased 10x15" pan and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes.
  • Ice cake while still warm and sprinkle with chopped peanuts if desired.
  • FROSTING:
  • Bring margarine, peanut butter and milk to a boil, remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla.

    gave it a try and it was GOOOD!!! i did keep the cocoa tho to make it a chocolate peanut butter cake---sooo rich and good w/ vanilla ice cream!!!

    My daughter and family will be visiting us Memorial Weekend - she could live on peanut butter. I have printed off your recipe already...I have to "treat" her with this one!
