Peanut Butter Texas Sheet Cake

- CAKE: shopping list
- 2 c. flour shopping list
- 2 c. sugar shopping list
- 1/2 t. salt shopping list
- 1 t. soda shopping list
- 2 sticks margarine shopping list
- 1 c. water shopping list
- 1/3 c. smooth peanut butter shopping list
- 2 eggs, beaten shopping list
- 1 t.. vanilla shopping list
- 1/2 c. buttermilk ( or 1/2 c. milk + 1T. vinegar) shopping list
- chopped peanuts (optional) shopping list
- peanut butter icing shopping list
- 1 stick margarine shopping list
- 1/3 c. smooth peanut butter shopping list
- 1/3 c. + 1 T. milk shopping list
- 1 lb. powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 t.. vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- CAKE:
- Sift first four ingredients together and set aside.
- Bring margarine, water and peanut butter to a boil and add to flour mixture.
- In another bowl, combine eggs, vanilla and buttermilk.
- Add to peanutbutter batter.
- Pour into a greased 10x15" pan and bake at 350F for 15-20 minutes.
- Ice cake while still warm and sprinkle with chopped peanuts if desired.
- FROSTING:
- Bring margarine, peanut butter and milk to a boil, remove from heat. Add powdered sugar and vanilla.
