How to make it

  • Combine berries, cream cheese and orange juice in a bowl then stir until smooth.
  • Slice bread into 1" slices and cut a pocket into each slice.
  • Spoon cream cheese mixture into each pocket then arrange bread in a large shallow dish.
  • Combine eggs, half and half and 3 tablespoons jam then pour over bread.
  • Chill covered overnight.
  • Melt 2 tablespoons butter with oil in a skillet then brown bread on both sides.
  • Serve with 1/3 cup jam and 1/4 cup butter.
