Hearty Cabbage Soup

- 6 cups boiling water & chicken buillon to match water amount shopping list
- or shopping list
- 6 cups chicken broth shopping list
- 1/2 head of cabbage shopping list
- 4-5 cups cubed ham shopping list
- 2 large carrots sliced shopping list
- 2-3 med potatoes cubed shopping list
- cut onion...amount is up to you..I like onion and used about 2/3 cup. shopping list
- 1/8 cup parsley shopping list
- To Taste: shopping list
- garlic salt shopping list
- garlic powder shopping list
- black peppers shopping list
- Dash of peppercorn shopping list
- sea salt shopping list
- White cooking wine shopping list
- white wine vinegar shopping list
- It's always good to start out with a small amount and add to it.... shopping list
How to make it
- Add 6 cups water & chicken buillon (or 6 cups chicken broth) to slow cooker and turn on high.
- Add cabbage, ham, carrots, potatoes, onion, and parsley.
- Slowly add spices to taste. You'll smell the aroma when you get the right amount.
- Let sit on high for about one hour. Then put on auto for 3-4 more hours.
- Stir occasionally. Smell and taste to ensure proper amounts of spice are in it.
- Serve with bread or crackers.
- Great to store in freezer and have for other meals!
