From callianthus 17 years agoIngredients
- 2 or 3 large chicken breasts. shopping list
- 1 packet of general tso's sauce mix ($1.25 at Kroger). shopping list

- 1 1/2 cups cooked rice of your choice, I use jasmine rice. shopping list

- 1 tbsp. soy sauce. shopping list
- 1/3 cup water. shopping list
- 1/4 cup sugar. shopping list
- 1/3 cup flour. shopping list
- 1 egg (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- If frozen, thaw chicken breasts. Cut into chunks or strips, and roll in a bowl with flour until evenly coated.
- Heat oil in a medium sauce pan, and stir fry chicken until brown on all sides.
- Add mixed vegetables to the chicken, and maybe even add a little more oil so nothing burns.
- While the veggies and chicken are cooking, combine general tso's mix, soy sauce, water, sugar and a bit of crushed red pepper flakes if you'd like.
- Add the sauce mix to the chicken and veggies, and add even MORE crushed red pepper flakes if you'd like. Stir fry until the sauce is thick.
- Serve over rice.
- If you would like, you can fry the rice in a pan with oil and add one beaten egg and soy sauce for a cheap and easy variation of fried rice.
