How to make it

  • In a large serving bowl,whisk together the basil,oil,lemon juice,mustard,lemon zest,salt,blasck pepper,and red pepper flakes.
  • set the dressing aside
  • In a large pot of boiling water,cook the egg noodles with whole garlic until noodles are al dente.
  • Put the peas and asparagus in a colander.
  • When noodles are doner,drain them with the garlic in the colander
  • (hot water will thaw the vegetables)
  • Rinse the noodles,garlic,and vegetables under cold running water and drain well
  • Cut asparagus into 1 ins pieces
  • Press garlic cloves through a garlic press(or mash with a fork) and add them top the dressing.
  • whisk to blend well
  • add noodles and peas,asparagus,tomatoes,scallions and parmesan to serving bowl
  • toss well to coat with dressing.
