Ingredients
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 cup butter flavor crisco ( when I was little, it was butter and reg. crisco)
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tsp. baking powder
  • pinch of salt

Directions
  1. Preheat oven at 350F.
  2. Greased and flour cookie sheet.
  3. Cream sugar and shortening.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time.
  5. Add milk and vanilla.
  6. Mix in flour, baking powder and salt.
  7. Roll on board and cut out with cookie cutter or with hands,
  8. pinch off ball of dough and drop on greased and floured cookie sheet.
  9. Bake according to heat of oven, for 10 to 12 minutes, or until lightly brown.
  10. NOTE.... Nuts or chocolate chips or frosting, may be added.
