How to make it

  • Prepare fusilli as package directs, drain. Meanwhile in large skillet, over med heat-high heat saute sausage, garlic and dried red pepper flakes for 3 to 4 minutes or until brown; drain. Add mushrooms and crushed tomatoes. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low, simmer 10 minutes. Add heavy cream; simmer 2 more minutes. Add fusilli and basil; cook 1 to 2 minutes or until heated through. Serve with Parmesan cheese.

    mushrooms are not much of an ingredient in Italy as far as spaghetti sauces are concerned... ;-)

    nothing harder than simplicity -
    heat pot and 2-4 tablespoons of good olive oil. Add a tablespoon of tomatoe sauce. Cover and brown (not burn). Add tomatoe sauce (better skined fresh red tomatoes that have been dieced and chrushed). Salt and sugar to taste, basil... zit! enjoy
