How to make it

  • In a small bowl combine all marinade ingredients, mix well
  • Place shrimp in resealable freezer bag
  • Pour marinade over shrimp; seal and refrigerate 1 to 2 hours
  • Soak wooden skewers at least 30 minutes
  • Thread 3 shrimp on each skewer, leaving space in between
  • Heat grill to medium, carefully oil grate
  • Place skewers on grill, cook 8 to 10 minutes or until shrimp are pink, turning twice and brushing with marinade
  • Discard any remaining marinade
  • To serve, arrange skewers on medium sized platter, garnish with fresh basil and lemon
  • Note: To broil, place shrimp on oiled broiler pan; broil 4 to 6 inches from heat using times above as guide and brushing with reserved marinade
